The studio
Jamie Hart set up Forge Ahead in September 1994. Since then the work has been shown in a string of exhibitions, each leading to commissions here and abroad.
In August 1995 Liberty commissioned three ranges of beds to launch its new bed linen, installed in three of the Regent Street windows and across the shop floor. Every piece then, as now, designed and made by Jamie at Forge Ahead.
How a commission works

Talk it through
Tell us what you have in mind. A full portfolio and a selection of finished pieces can be seen by appointment.

Place the order
A 50% deposit secures your piece and gets it onto the forge.
03
Made by hand
Each piece is forged and finished by hand, typically four to six weeks from order to completion.
04
Delivered
The balance is due when you receive the finished work.
